Focus on the end;
Feel every move,
Be every move,
You are there
Focus on the beat,
Feel every beat;
You are there ‚̧

With any goal and often with health and fitness goals we can struggle to maintain motivation. For myself and whenever I'm coaching or working with anyone on this level then this is what I encourage, focus on the moment, to bring the end in to now, be in the feeling. That's where it's all at and before you know it you will be there.

As Bruce Lee stated, Don't Think; Feel ūüôā

Why Wait

Life is so awesome and beautiful

All we need is here right now,

Yet we spend our lives waiting

Waiting… what for?

Why wait,

What is there to wait for?

Take action right here and now,

Life and energy exist right now

The only way to feel like doing it, is to just do it

To take action, to step in to your zone

Here is the place you’ll find the energy you need

Simply follow your passion¬†and¬†flow ‚̧

Freedom is a choice

Freedom is a choice
Freedom is a choice

One of the greatest gifts I have found on my journey so far is that of freedom, true inner freedom. I say gift because it is one we all have innately yet so many of us fail to acknowledge it, it can sometimes take a journey of realisation to do so.

This is what happened¬†to me after too many years of living in a place where I’d felt trapped both inwardly and outwardly, now I know this truth and I see it very clearly so much so I had forgotten how so many don’t.

After having this recent insight I felt passionately about sharing it with you to always remember your freedom of choice. To remember you are innately free by the freedom to choose, no matter what. I really do believe it can be this simple, as simple as a choice. None of us are prisoners and even if you are in the external sense, you still have the freedom of choice in what you believe, and in what you perceive things to mean for you and your life.

Choice is our greatest gift and the biggest illusion is in believing that we do not have a choice.

I find it shocking now when I see what some people will accept and in effect to  choose to suffer because they are in this illusion that they do not have a choice, when they really do. If you are suffering in a job, relationship or any circumstance you always have a choice. Always head towards your joy.

As Joseph Campbell stated;

Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors for you where before there were only walls.

There is so much truth in his words and doors really do open up before you when you make a choice to follow your bliss.

When we only look externally or at the conditions we may be in, it can appear that we are trapped in some way, but there is always a choice even if only in how we choose to perceive it and this alone can change everything.

The greatest choice I believe is that of either love or fear, one on which everything can be based. In reality we are all free, we only need to choose it for it to be realised.

Your choices are the real gifts you contain;

To create a life of real beauty or pain.

Keep Going

Keep going,
Moving forwards
There’s no reason to look back,
Keep your eyes focused forward
Let the fear dance by your side

It’s your victory that pulls you forward
The energy that drives you to go
Step it up and keep going
Your victory is high and nigh

Lets make it happen,
Keep going
You’ll be there in no time
Let your victory pull you forwards
Drive right past that winners line

Letting go of old beliefs

letting go

So often we can be held back and not understand why, we may be aiming for goals and dreams and something just keeps getting in the way or the same situation keeps re-occurring.

If you understand what I’m talking about here then you’ll understand equally how annoying it can be, especially when you seem to be doing all the right thing but something just keeps coming up to get in your way.

Just what is it that causes this?

The answer to this is often quiet simple, it is old worn out limiting beliefs that are stopping us from achieving our goal.

And why?

Well it is most often caused by some event that happened in the past where we have attached a story and subsequent meaning to it, which has then becomes a belief. This belief can either then empower us or limit us and for some time a belief usually will always serve us in some way, often as a form of protection. What then happens is that we continue with this underlying belief even if it no longer serves us, but we hold it to be true, because based on that experience and our perception we really believe it is.

The only thing is now this old worn out belief not only limits us but also affects our perception in many areas of our life and also in our relations with others. In any area we feel limited in some way or where there is recurring issues this is often the case.

After doing The Landmark forum a couple of weekends ago I came to realise some of my own disempowering old beliefs and have decided it’s definitely time to let them go. Most of all is that in the context of today these beliefs are quiet silly and not necessary for me anymore. It is only because they were developed from a young age, that¬†this was how I perceived the world then and then unknowingly held on to it subsequently limiting areas of my life that I’ve been wanting to develop. When I realised this it was super empowering but I also found it humorous how I’d held on to some limiting belief patterns for so long (better to laugh than cry :).

To be held back from something I decided so long ago seems so absurd but we all are doing and have done this for a large majority of our time. We then effectively keep repeating our past in to our future and therefore limiting ourselves and hence why we also get these recurring situations even if we are focusing on something  different, the belief will always win somehow.

When we discover¬†our¬† false beliefs and decide to let go of them¬† we can create¬† a whole¬† new possibility rather than repeating old patterns or limitations that are no longer serving us. Its definitely one I’d recommend considering. What old beliefs could be holding you back from your new life of possibility?

New Year Possibilities and Beginnings

beginning

Today has been an amazing new years day, looking forward to new goals and beginnings whilst continuing on projects over from last year too. I always love new year because of the energy everyone has with the potential of what we can be and become.

It brings alive the field of possibility in knowing that we can change habits we no longer need and become all we want to be, it’s often just maintaining this energy that¬†can be¬†the challenge.

That’s why¬†I believe¬†its so important to have this focus of what is possible consistently, to always be searching for new ideas and opportunities. To treat every day as if it is a new beginning just as we do at this time,¬†¬†because really it is. Everyday and every moment is a new beginning and anything is possible when our view expands enough to see all that is available to us.

The only thing that ever limits us is ourselves and our view of what is possible for us to do and when we focus daily on something that we may not have perceived possible, who knows what opportunities will come our way. I was a little disappointed at the end of 2014 that I had not achieved all I would like to have done but at the same time I know I have learnt so much. For all that is important as part of my journey and I achieved and experienced things that I never could have planned.

Most importantly from 2014 I learnt;

  • To always, always trust my intuition
  • The value of true¬†friendship
  • The art of allowing
  • The beauty of acceptance
  • New fields of possibility I never knew
  • That any perceived¬†obstacle can always be transformed in to an opportunity
  • The importance of expressing my truth and passion even more

New learning as well as achievements are all part of our journey of growth and the beauty in life, we never can fully plan everything. We can however be sure that when we go with the flow towards our goals we will be heading in the right direction.

‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelho is a perfect example of this, and in the end it is always about realising our potential and surprising ourselves with possibilities we never knew we could find.

I’m determined even more this year to be open to all new possibilities and opportunities whilst on the journey to achieving my goals which is why this year pubic speaking and any opportunities in this area will be a big part of my goal. Please watch this space for video uploads ūüôā¬†¬†¬†I wish you all the best success and lots of wonderful opportunities on your journey this year too. Happy New Year to you¬†ūüôā Lets make this year¬†amazing.

There is no end, only beginnings,

Every moment, is a new beginning

Letting go of expectations

IMG_8959.JPG

Personal growth and transformation have to be one of the most rewarding parts of our life journey. However one paradox in this is that although goals are important they can sometimes get in the way of our connection with the present moment when we are too focused on an end result. It’s a fine line to cut between not¬†having goals and living in the moment and having goals but still being present.

The difficulty with having no goals at all  is that we can potentially drift unfocused in to things that are of no good or use, such as negative thinking or watching T.V to pass time. However having goals can equally pull us out of the moment when we become too focused on the end or on the expectations that we may have for the goal, or when we expect them to happen.

Goals are great to drive us towards a greater cause and towards growth and continual improvement, but their function, I believe should not be to add so much pressure that it pulls out of now and out of the beauty of being and giving from where we are. When this begins to happen it is the point where we can re-evaluate our goals and whether there intention is working well in our lives or discovering from there what we can do differently.

Ultimately being here and now and giving from this space has to be the most important thing. Any future expectation is irrelevant and unimportant compared to happiness in the now that comes from a place of being and living in flow. This I believe serves ourselves and others more than anything.

With our goals in mind whilst allowing ourselves to be here and now, we will always reach them when the time is right. It is always about the journey, by focusing too much on the destination we miss out on all the beauty on the way. To strive with a goal in mind and to always be enjoying the journey by letting go of expectations then becomes far more loving and fun. ‚̧

The Purpose of Resistance

Resistance

Why do we often have resistance come up when we set ourselves goals?
Is there any purpose to this and if so why does it sometimes have to be so difficult?

I often ask myself this question and at times it can seem unfair that the road to achieving goals can be really tough. Then I have to remind myself that the bigger the goal and purpose, the bigger the obstacles will be.

Why? Well the one way I understand this is to liken it to exercise training. If we lift measly little weights that don’t push us at all then we are highly unlikely to achieve our goal. We have to lift a weight that is slightly tough and out of our comfort zone and the same goes for any other goal. To grow in to the person we want to be, we need some resistance.

If we remember that resistance is there to help us grow it makes any challenges easier and if anything as with exercise we can begin to find these challenges fun. Really it is always about our journey and our growth is a main part. When we become too fixated on any end goal, this is when we forget this and it becomes harder. With this we can also then unintentionally forget feeling good and having fun in the process, so I figured that resistance is good as long as we don’t resist the resistance ūüôā

Life is always training

Growth

We can not wish or hope for someone else to take our journey,
It is up to us to take action and win,
We can not hope for it to be easy, for then it will not push us on
To stretch ourselves is to learn and grow,
To be and become something far more than we are now

We need to keep on growing, to do this we need to push on
To push to be this person, this person we know we can become
So resistance is not to be scared of, but a challenge that we must take on
It will then be our greatest ally, once we realise it is there to help us win

Purpose

Purpose is focus,
All else is secondary
I will learn who to trust,
Who will come and who will go
In what is right, here and now,
From the depths of my soul,
Then all else will fall away;
Until I reach my ultimate goal
