Decide

I simply decide
How it will be
I am in charge,
Here completely free,
With no illusions ever to take hold;
I’m always free, pursuing every goal,
I simply decide,
What it will be
I make it happen
With every inch of me,
Going for the gold
With all that I ever hold,
I simply decide;
It is then my dream arrives ūüôŹ

Freedom is a choice

Freedom is a choice
Freedom is a choice

One of the greatest gifts I have found on my journey so far is that of freedom, true inner freedom. I say gift because it is one we all have innately yet so many of us fail to acknowledge it, it can sometimes take a journey of realisation to do so.

This is what happened¬†to me after too many years of living in a place where I’d felt trapped both inwardly and outwardly, now I know this truth and I see it very clearly so much so I had forgotten how so many don’t.

After having this recent insight I felt passionately about sharing it with you to always remember your freedom of choice. To remember you are innately free by the freedom to choose, no matter what. I really do believe it can be this simple, as simple as a choice. None of us are prisoners and even if you are in the external sense, you still have the freedom of choice in what you believe, and in what you perceive things to mean for you and your life.

Choice is our greatest gift and the biggest illusion is in believing that we do not have a choice.

I find it shocking now when I see what some people will accept and in effect to  choose to suffer because they are in this illusion that they do not have a choice, when they really do. If you are suffering in a job, relationship or any circumstance you always have a choice. Always head towards your joy.

As Joseph Campbell stated;

Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors for you where before there were only walls.

There is so much truth in his words and doors really do open up before you when you make a choice to follow your bliss.

When we only look externally or at the conditions we may be in, it can appear that we are trapped in some way, but there is always a choice even if only in how we choose to perceive it and this alone can change everything.

The greatest choice I believe is that of either love or fear, one on which everything can be based. In reality we are all free, we only need to choose it for it to be realised.

Your choices are the real gifts you contain;

To create a life of real beauty or pain.

Trusting in your Intutition

Trusting in our intuition is something we often hear of and how important and useful it is for successful results. The challenge I often found was how do we know what is our intuition or what instead is fear of the unknown.

This has been a journey of realisation for me and I have found one of the most important things is to recognise your intuition (being within you)  is very personal to you and your experience in how you learn to follow it.

With me it has taken me several times in ignoring it and then realising that I would have been better having followed it to realise the truth within. Since having learnt to follow it more things in my life are flowing far easier in the direction I want to go, not only that but I feel happier and  more at ease  in myself.

Following our intuition more often than not seems to involve going against what may appear the sensible thing and sometimes the thing we want to do, and in following it there can be some fear due to the unknown beyond it. Yet if we never step in to the unknown we may never experience anything other than where we have already been, we may never be able to experience that which we are seeking or create new possibilities and achieve our dreams.

If this is something you can relate to then from my experience I would say always trust your intuition, whenever I¬†have not listened to my intuition it has only led me in to pain or struggle. Your heart¬†always knows and¬†it can very much be a head vs heart thing¬†where it can take a while to learn to trust in your heart over your head and it does take courage,¬†but I¬† know I will now always be drawn to do so and I¬† hope so for you too. ‚̧

In my words I would term it like this;

Follow your heart, it leads you to the unknown, where there are gifts you would never otherwise know.

Or as the great Steve Jobs said;

Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you want to become.

Letting go of old beliefs

letting go

So often we can be held back and not understand why, we may be aiming for goals and dreams and something just keeps getting in the way or the same situation keeps re-occurring.

If you understand what I’m talking about here then you’ll understand equally how annoying it can be, especially when you seem to be doing all the right thing but something just keeps coming up to get in your way.

Just what is it that causes this?

The answer to this is often quiet simple, it is old worn out limiting beliefs that are stopping us from achieving our goal.

And why?

Well it is most often caused by some event that happened in the past where we have attached a story and subsequent meaning to it, which has then becomes a belief. This belief can either then empower us or limit us and for some time a belief usually will always serve us in some way, often as a form of protection. What then happens is that we continue with this underlying belief even if it no longer serves us, but we hold it to be true, because based on that experience and our perception we really believe it is.

The only thing is now this old worn out belief not only limits us but also affects our perception in many areas of our life and also in our relations with others. In any area we feel limited in some way or where there is recurring issues this is often the case.

After doing The Landmark forum a couple of weekends ago I came to realise some of my own disempowering old beliefs and have decided it’s definitely time to let them go. Most of all is that in the context of today these beliefs are quiet silly and not necessary for me anymore. It is only because they were developed from a young age, that¬†this was how I perceived the world then and then unknowingly held on to it subsequently limiting areas of my life that I’ve been wanting to develop. When I realised this it was super empowering but I also found it humorous how I’d held on to some limiting belief patterns for so long (better to laugh than cry :).

To be held back from something I decided so long ago seems so absurd but we all are doing and have done this for a large majority of our time. We then effectively keep repeating our past in to our future and therefore limiting ourselves and hence why we also get these recurring situations even if we are focusing on something  different, the belief will always win somehow.

When we discover¬†our¬† false beliefs and decide to let go of them¬† we can create¬† a whole¬† new possibility rather than repeating old patterns or limitations that are no longer serving us. Its definitely one I’d recommend considering. What old beliefs could be holding you back from your new life of possibility?

Turn it around

Don’t give up on¬†life

Or allow it to get you down

Everything that happens,

Is here to serve you somehow

No matter how it may seem,

In any betrayl or deceit

There is always a point where you’ll win,

Where you will rise and be free

Use this time to build you up,

To recover what was took,

To focus your own mind

On all your joy; on all you seek

You deserve the best now

You worked so hard for it

Let go of all that no longer serves you;

Allow your truth to rise within

It is your life, your mind,

It is you that holds the key

You can turn this around,

No matter what; just believe

New Year Possibilities and Beginnings

beginning

Today has been an amazing new years day, looking forward to new goals and beginnings whilst continuing on projects over from last year too. I always love new year because of the energy everyone has with the potential of what we can be and become.

It brings alive the field of possibility in knowing that we can change habits we no longer need and become all we want to be, it’s often just maintaining this energy that¬†can be¬†the challenge.

That’s why¬†I believe¬†its so important to have this focus of what is possible consistently, to always be searching for new ideas and opportunities. To treat every day as if it is a new beginning just as we do at this time,¬†¬†because really it is. Everyday and every moment is a new beginning and anything is possible when our view expands enough to see all that is available to us.

The only thing that ever limits us is ourselves and our view of what is possible for us to do and when we focus daily on something that we may not have perceived possible, who knows what opportunities will come our way. I was a little disappointed at the end of 2014 that I had not achieved all I would like to have done but at the same time I know I have learnt so much. For all that is important as part of my journey and I achieved and experienced things that I never could have planned.

Most importantly from 2014 I learnt;

  • To always, always trust my intuition
  • The value of true¬†friendship
  • The art of allowing
  • The beauty of acceptance
  • New fields of possibility I never knew
  • That any perceived¬†obstacle can always be transformed in to an opportunity
  • The importance of expressing my truth and passion even more

New learning as well as achievements are all part of our journey of growth and the beauty in life, we never can fully plan everything. We can however be sure that when we go with the flow towards our goals we will be heading in the right direction.

‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelho is a perfect example of this, and in the end it is always about realising our potential and surprising ourselves with possibilities we never knew we could find.

I’m determined even more this year to be open to all new possibilities and opportunities whilst on the journey to achieving my goals which is why this year pubic speaking and any opportunities in this area will be a big part of my goal. Please watch this space for video uploads ūüôā¬†¬†¬†I wish you all the best success and lots of wonderful opportunities on your journey this year too. Happy New Year to you¬†ūüôā Lets make this year¬†amazing.

There is no end, only beginnings,

Every moment, is a new beginning

Believe in you

butterfly

This last week¬†has been¬†a really tough one for me, I’ve had to make a decision that would potentially change the course of my whole life. Hence a lot of poetry about decisions :). The whole process has brought up a lot of anxiety, this mainly I believe because I’ve had to spend all this time contemplating the future rather than living in the now,(as I prefer to do). Unfortunately¬†at some times we can not be totally in the now and it is necessary to plan for the future.

I have had to face a decision on whether to let go of all I had gained in the last year and 4 months. Those of you who have read my post ‘ One Little Moment¬†, One¬†Transformational Year’ may have picked up¬†on¬†how meaningful this time was for me. Essentially it has been so meaningful that nothing in me wanted to give it up, other than fear of what the future may hold and those niggling doubts of whether I can actually make my dream work.

However, much stronger than this doubt and fear¬†has been¬†this inner driving force that I feel I now have, something that I had lacked for several years previous. This driving force is one that really comes from the heart and one that I’m having to learn to trust in completely because I know that¬† from this space life is far more beautiful and flows in a way that is at times difficult to describe, life in this way¬†is on a far better or higher level than any time when we are living from should’s , external expectations or fear.

As Steve Jobs said; ‘It’s as though our hearts somehow already know what we want to become.’

Living from the heart somehow overshadows the fears or doubts in our life and brings with it only passion, realisation, beauty  and truth even in the most difficult moments. This is something that I can not let go of now I have found it and so I will follow my heart and passion in hope to inspire others to find and do the same. Whatever the future holds we can not know, all we can do is make the best causes in now and learn to trust in the truth of our hearts.

Trusting completely in myself I believe is a key part of my journey and it has made me realise too that there maybe many of us who struggle to follow our true passion and live from our hearts, because perhaps the external circumstances at the time do not support this decision. Looking at many people who have had to make such decisions in their lives, in their circumstances it is often just as difficult. They have sometimes risked losing everything for the sake of following their heart and dreams, The Rocky Story is one that immediately comes to mind and there are many more of them.

When¬†we make a daring decision to follow our heart and dreams we can¬†sometimes find that those we hoped or thought may support us don’t or they take some¬†time to come round to it, I have seen this happen for myself and to friends, some of whom then¬†become discouraged because of this negativity or doubt. I don’t believe our friends and family or others try to mean harm by this, I think it’s more that it brings up their own fears and doubts of what they could do but aren’t doing or haven’t done, on the plus side, the opposite can also happen where we can then inspire them to do this too. What Marianne Williams said in ‘Our Deepest Fear’ that It is our light that most frightens us.’ I¬†know now to be¬†so true, but fear¬†doesn’t have to stop us in any decision or circumstance, unless we choose to allow it to.

Given this, I choose to¬†follow my heart with every step and¬†to focus on inspiring others to do the same¬†whilst also focusing on those who do so already and who encourage me to do the same. So I’m¬† taking this leap of faith and trusting in my heart completely and after recognising the need for belief and support when making this type of decision I’d like to put a suggestion out there;

To all those who follow their heart or are looking to make that step,¬† if you are ever struggling give me a shout and I’ll be an ear to listen to you¬†and to help you rekindle that belief in you just as others have done for me over the last year and much more¬†so recently. On a larger scale as many of us on here are of the same mind-set of following our hearts and dreams, why not have a WP belief network where we can all encourage each other even more than we do already. Who knows what amazing things we can achieve when we all support and encourage each other in this way?

My main message from this experience for anyone reading this would be;

Never give up on your dreams,

No matter how difficult it may seem,

It doesn’t matter if¬† others¬†don’t believe in you

Believe in you and your truth;

Then you are sure to find others who will do too

Lost

When life is lost and you can’t decide,

To find a way you must seek inside
This is what I’ve found on this journey of seeking,

That the one way to go, is that which gives you most feeling
The one that excites you, that wakes you and shakes you

That may bring fear, yet it’s the one that feels most clear,
It’s the one that brings a light in you, inside of you to enliven you

To be seeking too long is to become lost further,
Which to follow; the well worn path,
Or one not taken by many another

The answers only seem to lie within, As only you know the answers your seeking

To not follow on this path is to never know; what you could have been, if you had never let go
