Finding Truth and Peace
With the recent Paris attacks as well as others around the world I felt the need to share this with the hope it may touch and help some, please do share if you find it helpful.
When events like this happen it makes all of us question, how can we find truth and peace? When Gandhi stated ‘be the change you wish to see in the world’, there was so much wisdom in his words, because it always starts with us, always.
When we can move beyond our own divisions and see the truth in ourselves and others, this creates ripples throughout the world.
Truth is a word that’s often associated with right and wrong and sometimes used to create further division. Here I’m not speaking of this, instead I’m speaking of the truth that is and exists in everyone, in all of us and everything.
To look on a surface level when we live in a materialistic world can be easy to do and a natural default, however we are far more than this. When we look beyond this surface to see the truth, we can see it in everyone.
There are no opposites, there is no division, it’s all made up. Beyond this illusion there is only love and its all there is, its our creative energy and it’s the truth of what we all are.
No matter what illusions may come about in the world of perceptions, opposites and divisions, this truth even though we can’t see it is the real power precisely because it’s all that is and just because we can’t see it, it doesn’t mean it’s not there.
Never lose faith in truth and peace, there is always hope, its in the smallest things.
When we connect to our true reality and more of us do so, all divisions and oppositions become meaningless and powerless. This may appear hard to do , yet it is only love that is our natural state and fear is illusion in this reality.
Fight only with love, we are all one. Let’s all choose truth and peace. May peace and love be with you and your loved ones today and everyday ❤
“Love is what we were born with, fear is what we learned here” ~Marianne Williamson
Perfectly Imperfect
The only forever
It’s in all I say or want to say,
Yet words can not express this truth,
In knowing that always,
This truth; the one and only truth
Beyond all else
Exists within you,
Within all of us;
This is the only forever
~ M. L. Adams
Trusting in your Intutition
Trusting in our intuition is something we often hear of and how important and useful it is for successful results. The challenge I often found was how do we know what is our intuition or what instead is fear of the unknown.
This has been a journey of realisation for me and I have found one of the most important things is to recognise your intuition (being within you) is very personal to you and your experience in how you learn to follow it.
With me it has taken me several times in ignoring it and then realising that I would have been better having followed it to realise the truth within. Since having learnt to follow it more things in my life are flowing far easier in the direction I want to go, not only that but I feel happier and more at ease in myself.
Following our intuition more often than not seems to involve going against what may appear the sensible thing and sometimes the thing we want to do, and in following it there can be some fear due to the unknown beyond it. Yet if we never step in to the unknown we may never experience anything other than where we have already been, we may never be able to experience that which we are seeking or create new possibilities and achieve our dreams.
If this is something you can relate to then from my experience I would say always trust your intuition, whenever I have not listened to my intuition it has only led me in to pain or struggle. Your heart always knows and it can very much be a head vs heart thing where it can take a while to learn to trust in your heart over your head and it does take courage, but I know I will now always be drawn to do so and I hope so for you too. ❤
In my words I would term it like this;
Follow your heart, it leads you to the unknown, where there are gifts you would never otherwise know.
Or as the great Steve Jobs said;
Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you want to become.
From my recent experience I also put a video up on YouTube please check it out below and subscribe too if you enjoy 🙂 , thank you ❤
Turn it around
Don’t give up on life
Or allow it to get you down
Everything that happens,
Is here to serve you somehow
No matter how it may seem,
In any betrayl or deceit
There is always a point where you’ll win,
Where you will rise and be free
Use this time to build you up,
To recover what was took,
To focus your own mind
On all your joy; on all you seek
You deserve the best now
You worked so hard for it
Let go of all that no longer serves you;
Allow your truth to rise within
It is your life, your mind,
It is you that holds the key
You can turn this around,
No matter what; just believe
~ M. L Adams
All that you are
Being vulnerable
In being vulnerable, we are true
In being true we will feel all,
We are open in all we can do
In all we are, in all we can ever be
This is scary but what’s the alternative,
To live trapped in a shell of pretending?
To say I am perfect , I am always okay
To never have any problems or worries?
Or to say I’m human and vulnerable,
Yet still completely worthy of all
If I am love;
I am therefore complete truth,
All whole, all one and vulnerable
~ M.L.Adams
Vulnerable is kind of where I’m at right now but in terms of the concept of duality and acceptance it’s reminding me a lot of the importance of acceptance in this and how it’s all one. We are all one and it’s ok to feel vulnerable to the future, the moment or wherever/ whatever it may be, it’s really ok.
This brought to mind a brilliant Ted talk which is a favourite of mine,a powerful reminder of the truth and importance of vulnerability. Please take some time to view it if you haven’t seen it. It’s very powerful. ❤
If we are imperfect beings, we are who we all are and feel and in accepting this imperfectness we are complete and whole. We do not have to know all, to be perfect in all we do. We only need to be ourselves completely, in that I believe we can serve the world our highest truth ❤
An Alternative Reality
I’ve been feeling a real shift recently and I’m not sure if its right, although I’m not really sure if its the right thing to question it either. It seems to be a real perception shift and one that’s making everything seem more together and one, but with the status quo somewhat unusual.
I’ve been aware of this shift for a while now but it has hit me more rapidly in the last few weeks. Throughout this time I’ve been learning to accept hurt and pain as part of experience rather than rejecting it as such.
It’s as though I now see the world and my reality in a way that all is one, emotions, people, experiences, that cannot exist on a purely positive state. There is less judgement over what is good or bad and more acceptance in what is, just as it is, realising deeper that at the core of everything exists pure love and creative energy.
This reality I in part realised around a year ago and now it’s as if its deepening in that I can see it more in the difficult experiences and how they are one with the ultimate cause. In how it’s not possible to have the good without the bad, It is the same with emotions, its so easy to label them and say ‘I don’t want to feel this’, but in reality it just is and without one we may not have the others.
I know where I want to be and that is to be coming from a place of love and creativity in all I do, but its becoming more and more apparent that where there is love , there is creation and within this there is also pain and possible destruction but out of this comes further creation and love, it is all one.
Without judging this experience too much it appears from this perspective as though everything at the core is ultimately together as one, and that we are all co-existent and as part of the journey of life together, not to be in opposition with each other. There are no labels, all that is just is and when we are in alignment with creative energy or love then we will automatically operate at our highest purpose and highest self.
When we see ourselves as separate in any way or begin labelling people and situations we effectively detatch ourselves from this force and begin to lose recognition with it.
At times I am questioning this perception and becoming confused with it, finding myself saying, is this right or is it naïve or is it part of the new way of seeing things, a new world? But then in doing this I begin judging, labelling and detaching again so for now I have to trust in this new reality and flow with it. Perhaps all will become clearer in the newness of things or maybe it doesn’t need to?
Right now Prince Ea’s Rap ‘The World is Ending’ is really resonating with me, check it out if you haven’t seen it before, its an awakening in itself. 🙂 Until next time, lots of love and light to you ❤
Love exists at the core of everything, of everyone. Know and trust in this and that’s all you see, no matter what happens.
A Throwaway Culture for Relationships?
Our world is becoming more fast paced by the minute and it seems along with the consumerist culture of products and pleasures, that people and relationships are being treated in this way more frequently too. In dating culture it has become very obvious, from how we can pick and choose someone based upon their appearance alone to how many just wont stick around with someone any more if they don’t quiet meet the checklist.
In some ways I think this may be a positive but it can also go too far. It can occur in friendships as well as relationships, I’ve recently had personal experience of this with such people and situations where after making one mistake or doing one thing that doesn’t meet their needs alone, they will just drop you like a ton of weight.
It is understandable if situations occur where someone goes too far, we need to be clear with them to not do the same again. However we are all only human and where is the depth and realness when people are marked off a checklist and treat like a consumer product. The deepest and best relationships come when we truly see the person and love and accept them just the same. This is how we can be with family and those closest to us, to have truly valuable lasting real-ationships, we need to see others as their whole self too. Unless of course we are happy with a surface relationship that has no passion, depth or bond.
Maybe products today are not made to last but as people we are not made to be thrown away, we are here to love and be loved as a whole and as we are. This is the kind of relationships I now seek, ones that are real, where others are themselves and I can be too. Because of this I know I too have to be vulnerable and drop my checklist, choosing to see anyone I know and meet as whole person worthy of love and acceptance no matter what.
As for the actual products in my life I always try to keep them as long as I can and recycle (but I am not so attached to them). The people that are in and come into our lives are not material objects but feeling beings, so in knowing this myself I choose to be open and receptive to this, to all the beauty in each person and not just someone who is there to tick my list. I would hope in this I can bring far more to others and that the relationships in my life will be far more real and enriching. As for the consumerists I’ll let them continue shopping 🙂
I’m curious to hear your thoughts on this too, have any of you experienced this or is it something you’ve noticed happening? Do you think it can be a positive at all or purely a negative for our relationships and in how we treat people?
Thank you for all your realness, loving and feedback as always 🙂
