Letting go of expectations

IMG_3398.JPG

Along our life journey things can at times happen the way we don’t want them or expect them to.

Whether it be with relationships, work goals or any other area of life, not everything happens how we would like it to and sometimes it can be really tough.

So what do we do when this happens..?

Fight on? Resist?

Or allow our journey to take us where it may be guiding us, to any lessons we may need to learn or benefit from?

Our life journeys as I see are like flowing water, rising and falling, coming and going, and ultimately flowing. If we resist however, the flow then stops.

We may not always understand why something happens or we can even see it as wrong in some way, yet in resisting it we stay there longer. Stuck in not learning, until we finally let go.
Finally in letting go of any expectation in how it should be we are allowing ourselves to flow on our journey again.

When we fight what is however it can only take longer to move to where we want to be, it also stops us from living in the now. Everything on our journey has a purpose and meaning and can be directed towards achieving our ultimate goal. We only need to find the lesson and there is always one. Letting go of expectations allows us to do this.

In letting go of expectations and allowing ourselves to flow on our journey instead of holding on to how we think it should be, we then open ourselves up to far more possibility.

We can then set our path in line with our higher energy and allow ourselves to receive more of what is available to us, far more than may ever be perceived through our own preset expectations.

Here for a reason

Everything can happen for a reason;
Stay open to possibility,
Simply be right here in your flow

You will always find a reason;
All can help you reach your goal
Simply stay in line with purpose
Then you can never really fail

Your path is set for higher purpose
Simply trust in the way to go
Everything is here for a reason,
Trust you will always be guided well ❤

Life is flow

Life is flow,
A flight of joy
In rhythm, love and light,
With all that’s beautiful and good

Let go of all that no longer serves you,
Lift higher above
Then your life will take you;
Wherever you want to go

Notes from Dr John de Martini

IMG_0978.JPG

After seeing Dr John de Martini at a seminar a couple of weeks ago, I was so inspired by him that I wanted to share my experience with you all. I hope you can take some inspiration from this too.

Dr John de Martini believes that everyone can live an inspired vision and he dedicated his life to discovering how and sharing this with the world.

These are some of the most standout points from his talk that I observed;

Most of all what matters is that you have a dream, something many of us may have heard before.

So how do we know we are not only following our dream but can also achieve it?

Our value system

Our value system determines our destiny and our hierarchy of values determines everything we do and how unique we are.

So how do we know these?

Our highest values are that which we are pulled to do. That we do not need to be motivated for, we just want to do them because we value them so highly. So our hierarchy of values therefore dictate our destiny.

Your highest of values will spontaneously be inspired from within and will lead everything you do. They are of intrinsic value, therefore you will always achieve them.

These can be discovered from observing what you are drawn to in your current lifestyle without needing to be motivated to do them in anyway.
If you need to be reminded or motivated to so something it’s because it’s low on your values.

When it comes to relationships, our values are also of great importance as John de Martini says; Nobody is in fact committed to us only to fulfilling their highest values. So when we help someone achieve their highest values they will automatically enjoy being with us.

My favourite quote of all John de Martini said was this;

‘The greatest difference you can ever make is being the authentic you.’

I couldn’t agree more with this, if we are trying to be anything we are not then we are kidding ourselves and making ourselves unhappy. This then also affects those around us.

Your highest value is where your empowered and your lowest value is where your most disempowered. In anytime you do lower value things you are effectively devaluing yourself, so always aim to reduce these.

Top take 🙂

*Know your highest values and fill your life with these*

John then talked about how he’d discovered the term telos. Which he explained as a central part within our minds that’s driving us towards our highest value- always having your chief aim or destiny in mind.

In effect it’s like we are individually preset to follow a certain destiny and that’s why we are driven toward certain things and not others.

In any case to punish yourself by doing that which you really dislike doing, this makes no sense at all, especially when there are other options and opportunities available.

The study of meaning and purpose

Your purpose is an expression of your highest value and your life demonstrates your highest values when you observe where you spend most time. In that you will always have and make time for the things that are most important to you.

Knowing yourself and your highest values is what’s most important to drive you forward. You will automatically have a selected biased attention for those things that fulfill your telos.

Anything you see that supports your telos acts a guide towards it.
Anything against it guides you away from it, including through illness.

When you set a goal aligned with your highest values you spontaneously align yourself to success- this awakens your inner leader and it is natural to spiritually and energetically expand and move forward when in this state.

When you set all goals and intentions to align with your highest value and purpose- this awakens your higher self. We are rewarded when we are authentic.

When we set goals low on our value system, we will be uninspired unmotivated and become a follower rather than a leader.

There is however never a need to get rid of any part of yourself, only to love yourself. Negative responses are simply feed back to move away and back towards that which will lead to your higher purpose and highest values. When your goals are aligned with your highest values then automatically positive responses will arise. The end in mind (telos) awakens the telos in the brain.

When we live by lower values then this awakens the lower part of the brain. Living from here we then function on pain and pleasure- or simply instinct and survival.

When living by our higher values we will see even challenges as positive, because everything will become a part of our cause. Everything then supports yourself on the way, you will be inspired by mission and you won’t need motivation, all will be a part of your goal.

When living by your lower values you will only want to escape. Addictive and compulsive behaviour is also a symptom of following lower values and living an uninspired life- we should not need to be motivated.

When were aligned with our mission we are inspired, self governed and awakened. Our inner voice will be stronger than anything- were then living our inspired destiny.

In doing what you love and living by your telos you will have resilience, high health and be supported by universal energy. You are pulled by vision , supported no matter what and this will magnetise people because of your being authentic.

Other Main Points

– We need both support and challenge towards achieving our goals, this is essential.

– Anytime we minimise ourselves we lose our genius and our leader.

– Anytime were out of balance from our own values, we begin depreciating ourself and our mission.

– Leaders look for challenges that inspire them.

– Subordination to outer authority is the one thing that stops us achieving our ultimate purpose.

– Empower your own purpose and values and support those of others. Anything other than this will cause us to be out of balance.

– Link everything to your highest purpose – (always asking; how does this link to my highest value and purpose?)

Gain momentum towards your highest purpose by setting continuous goals in line with your values.

To leave an astronomical legacy we need to live an astronomical life in line with our own authenticity and purpose.

– Say yes to everything that inspires you and no to all else- aim to get to the point where you can delegate all else.

– Feel and know your destiny to serve masses and it is then you will achieve masses of wealth.

– If you don’t fill up your life with inspired actions that fulfill you, your life will instead get filled up with distractions from all other areas.

I hope you find some these points as helpful and inspiring. Please let me know your thoughts.

Letting go

IMG_0800-1.JPG

In accepting all as it is,
You’ll find true freedom from within
In coming from your heart
Through being as you are

This is your mission,
To flow freely;
To serve in all your being

This is your mission
To let go, to be here;
To live in love and freedom

Living Without Regret

The question of what impact do I want my life to have today and in the future often occurs to me. When I ask myself this question it allows me to check back in on whether I’m living purposely in that day or not. The above video is a great  reminder of living with this spirit.

I find there is the potential otherwise to waste  time on things that may become of far  lesser importance when were to look back on them. In this way I can aim to be living in each moment and there for those who are around me. In essence it is a sense of coming from a point of what really matters most and then living from there.

In the below guardian article titled the 5 regrets of the dying, Bronnie Ware an Australian nurse documented the top 5 regrets of patients in their last days. The top 5 she recorded were;

1.) I wish I had the courage to live true to myself not to what others expected of me.

2.) I wish I hadn’t worked so hard

3.) I wish I had the courage to express my feelings

4.) I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends

5.) I wish I had let myself be happier

Knowing these regrets of the dying can really get us to reflect on living a full life where we do not waste our time on things that ultimately don’t matter so much. For all of us it can be slightly different in what we perceive to be most valuable, asking the question what will we want to leave behind is a really good way to understand these, what will be and is most important now? Is it money, the people in your life, the experiences you have? What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind. By  knowing the answer to these questions  we can then proceed to live as much of our days from these values. Some questions I find good for reflecting on this are;

  • How do you want to be remembered?
  • What do you want to leave behind?
  • How can you create the most value today?

If we live from this place in every moment we can be sure to be on purpose, living without regret and knowing  we’ve made the most difference possible with our lives ❤

Live from the  heart

Live from the heart in all you do

Live  from the heart as though everyday could be your last

Valuing all that matters most

Knowing you do your best in all you pursue

Most of all know you wasted nothing,

That in every moment you gave your everything

~ M. L Adams

What is within

What is within can never be lost
What is within the heart will always exist,
Heart & purpose exist as one
For this reason your purpose always continues on
In knowing your purpose and knowing your path
Wherever it leads; just be there to serve

Living at the Cause

357

I’m re- posting this as it was around this time last year and it serves as powerful a reminder right now of the importance of personal power, one of intentionally creating in each moment, every single day.

We all have far more power over our lives than we sometimes realise, it’s just a matter of choosing where our focus goes. A daily practice however always.

Much Love,

Miranda

Living at the Cause.

Purpose

Purpose is focus,
All else is secondary
I will learn who to trust,
Who will come and who will go
In what is right, here and now,
From the depths of my soul,
Then all else will fall away;
Until I reach my ultimate goal

~ M.L.Adams

Your on the way

Express yourself, be yourself
Along the way you’ll find your real self
You’ll find your way then you’ll be again
As all that’s lost is found again

More will come to rise through you
When you open your heart and let it flow through
This time is not to hold you back,
But to push you forward to that place you dream about

One little moment , one transformational year

butterfly1

With some journeys its hard to know where to start but it always begins somewhere, just in one moment. That one moment leads to many , many more (the butterfly effect). These moments whether we view them as positive or negative are always magnificent. One moment and one life leads to much more, nothing is ever insignificant.

This year is one I would describe as magnificent in itself , this year for me has been really a transformation, one that began in Autumn last year, a time of letting go of old and in with new. This is how it began and from one tiny little moment it has led to massive growth in my life. Just like a tiny seed that can grow in to an amazing beautiful flower, that is what one little moment in my life did when nurtured and encouraged on the path of growth.

From making a decision in one moment to begin my own business to then going to a life changing seminar where I met amazing people, each has been a step on an amazing growing journey that in one year has been like a lifetime of lessons all of which have been transformational, not all easy though. I’m not sure if any transformational steps in life ever are easy, but one thing I know is it always leads to something higher or better if that is what you are seeking. All it takes is one intention or one decision and from there your whole life transforms, when I think about it now , it amazes me how much so.

I sought wealth and I found freedom, freedom in myself, freedom in expression, freedom in the heart and now I know that to me this is what wealth really represents. Material wealth is also important but true freedom is what deep down I was seeking. Now that I have found it every other path is also open. My life has expanded all from one decision, one opportunity , one transformational relationship and a million tiny changes in between. As Tony Robbins states,

‘ It’s in the moments of decision that your destiny is shaped.’

This change can sometimes manifest physically but more powerfully and more importantly is the inner change and transformation from these tiny decisions , they can be truly life changing and really are. Which way these decisions lead us can contain many variables but the cause lies within and everything will then come at the right moment even if it is not what you think you need at the time, all things are on the path of growth. You may often get what you need rather than what you think you want, something that is far more powerful and life changing, that which your inner soul is calling for.

My belief through this experience is that for a decision to be truly transformational it needs to be one that is at least slightly out of your comfort zone, a bit scary. If not there is in reality no room for the unknown, no room for growth. My encouragement in this would be take a step every day however little , go for those decisions you’ve been wanting to take but putting off, because once you take that step each one after follows on the path to where you want to go in your heart and your courage builds each time to the point where you’ll make those decisions without questioning them.

The path of transformational growth is I believe the highest path of all, the gifts you may seek can often be sought no other way. We are all growing as part of nature but we can also choose our path, so why not choose a higher one. Step out your comfort zone today, take that beautiful journey, it may be tough at points but it will be amazing and worth it.

For this years life changing growing journey I’m immensely grateful to all who have been a part and also for taking those initial steps, ones I plan to take many more of. To finish, a little poem below on the power of one, hope you enjoy. Wishing you lots of life changing moments today and everyday.

The power of one

One word, one day

One moment, one life

That’s all it takes

A new start, a complete change

From one time, that’s all it takes

One moment , one change

One time, one life

All change can happen

From this one time

Never give up , life’s for living

It  only takes one moment, Just one thing

One moment , one time

All change can happen from here on in
