Awake, Awake, sweet souls awake
Awake from that sleep where you hide
The time is now to see your truth
The time is now to wake up from inside
Life is a journey for all souls to take
You don’t need to hide, you can handle this
Ride your sweet journey open and awake
Awake sweet souls; awake for good
Show who you really are, be all you can
Don’t hide from what hurts or you lose what is good
You’ve nothing to hide, only to bring your beauty to this land
( Inspired by Brene Brown’s Ted Talk – The Power of Vulnerability.)
The spiritual path is simply the journey of living our lives. Everyone is on a spiritual path, most people just don’t know it.
~ Marianne Williamson
When you feel that you are in flow you just know that you are right, you feel that you are completely free and that you are in flight.
Lifting high above anything in to the free night , like nothing can hurt you or hold you down tight.
When you feel you are in flight you know that you can fight, that nothing or no one can hurt you not with all there might.
You are in a state of wonder that’s high in to the light, so free like a firefly that is shining so so bright.
This is a poem I wrote about the state of being flow, I called it flight because of the freeing feeling of being in this state. Just like that of flying (the parachute jump is something I’m planning on doing very soon so I can experience flight for real 🙂
Finding our flow however it may be, such as through poetry or sports, is something I believe we should practice everyday. It is the art of expressing oneself completely, freely and of being in our zone.
If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don’t
If you’d like to win, but think you can’t,
It’s almost certain you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost,
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellow’s will,
It’s all in the state of mind.
If you think you’re outcast, you are;
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man;
But sooner or later the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.

Such a beautiful poem with truth in every word, a gift to all of us from Walter D Wintle.
