Life can be challenging at times and seem to be filled with setbacks especially in such recent times as some of us may have experienced.
What are some of the ways you can deal with such times effectively in order to overcome them?
The following is some of the ways I have found to be useful to apply in such times;
- Take each day step by step-do what you can.
- Set mini goals- nothing too big.
- Check off those important things you’ve done and recognise your efforts.
- Create a gratitude list- every morning and/or evening- list all the things you are grateful for.
- Practice being present- be aware of your surroundings- focus in on the sights and sounds.
- Find ways to channel your energy- exercise regularly and do what you enjoy.
- Connect with others and support and encourage them too.
- Spend time in nature.
- Have faith- all things change and we always overcome.
All of the above are ways that you can manage in the here and now, as some difficulties can make it hard to look ahead. It is with the daily steps however that things always improve and you can overcome any setback.
