A promise

It can be hard to let go

When its become all you know,

When the feeling’s become so strong

That you’ve held on for far too long

Then you realise it’s all a test

So you can really be at your best,

So you can beat all that tries to mistreat you,

Then nothing more can ever defeat you

So when this pattern is finally broken,

It is a promise it will all be forsaken
